Procrastination

For a while, our sink has been leaking. My husband has been telling me to call the landlord. I've been delaying. Tonight. I went to use the sink, and and it started pouring water out from multiple places. Whoever installed our sink was a completely careless. It was leaking from ALL THREE holes. No wonder we couldn't isolate the leak. It was leaking everywhere. The soap dispenser was installed wrong, and leaked. The drain was installed poorly, and the garbage disposal screws fell out. I had to find the screws and tighten it. I had to remove the the soap dispenser, and go to the garage and grab the plug (I insisted the box was kept), and I had to reseal the sink drain. I'm a renter. I sure make things harder on myself. I could have just washed dishes in the bathtub and waited for the "handyman" to fix it in a few days,I'm bad at time management, and I'm not patient. Not a good combo.  Uggg. Dumb, dumb dumb. But at least I have a working sink. #blog

But you got it done and have a working sink!
People do not take the work that do very seriously anymore . . . your sink is a perfect example of this :(

So frustrating. I just don't know what was going through his mind.

It sucks, I have had to redo things that I have payed to have done . . . . now I usually just do it myself no matter how long it takes because I at least know it will be done right!

you're cool, +Elizabeth Lund. I sometimes just wish I could have the skills implanted into my brain. Sometimes I make mistakes that experience could have prevented.

I had the advantage that my dad thought that women should be able to take care of mechanical stuff themselves and I am naturally good at figuring out how things get taken apart and put together . . . . so I am lucky in that respect +Erika Thornes :)

I am the same way, but I make stupid mistakes, because I don't take the time to think things through sometimes. I'm always willing to attempt things.

Good for you +Erika Thornes , sad end on the story is that some landlords l do setup in postponing and just let renters fix they're incapabilities..
But what else should you do if you would like to get somewhere in life…

Wray, that is the question, isn't it? Maybe that is why I delayed?

Please do not get me wrong, I am not a sexist (well I am, I open doors for women and  …), women can probably do a better job at plumbing than I, but I can not figure out …
Oh well, sorry you had troubles but glad they are solved!

Eh. He works long hours, and I do stay home. But, I do appreciate when little things are done for me. Calling the plumber for a mild leak is low on my list of priorities. It only became a priority when the water started leaking far more. I can't do everything, so somethings slide until they become a pressing issue.

Don't let her fool you.  She doesn't even need to CALL the plumber, just submit an online ticket 😛  It takes less time than the amount of time it took to edit the above photo and make the post!

The photo was old, I just pulled it form archives, but yes, it takes less time to submit the request than to post about it. And the handyman just gave me a lecture about how I broke the sink by using 1/2 lemons down the garbage disposal… Regardless, it is clean, our sink doesn't leak.

Plus, it is fun to whine about broken appliances, and how they disrupt your life when they don't work.. Such first world problems.
