Went out looking at Christmas lights last night
Shot at ISO 16000, yes, not 1600 but 16000…. Oh how I love my new camera. It can do things I wasn't able to do before. Opening up new shooting situations. Ahhh. Anyway, just a candid of my daughter watching a light show to music that happens to be on you tube as well… (They even advertise it!) #blog

Yes, I shot it with a 5dm3 and my 85mm 1.8 at 1/125 F/2
The lights were on the 'blue' stage of the show. The white balance is pretty accurate to the scene. (Natural light, well, as natural as tons of LED Christmas lights can be).

This is why I want a more modern sensor. My camera is pretty noisy at even ISO 800.

What's the new toy? Lovely image. Getting the new stuff comes down to being able to expand one's visual horizons. Cameras don't make you better at photos, but they sure can help you achieve wonder in the right hands and eyes. This image is an example of what happens when the capability in the camera is put to proper use.
